Facts about Lakota Sports Organization
Since 1976, Lakota Sports Organization has offered a variety of recreation youth sports to our community.
In addition to our recreation programs, Lakota Sports Organization offers field availability to Select Teams (baseball, softball and soccer) for games, practices and tournaments. Fields would be available pre-season, post-season and during the season. Our recreation sport programs have first right to all our fields so availability for Select teams will be limited. Lakota Sports Organization has the right to close certain fields for maintenance reasons anytime. If there is bad weather in the area, coaches and parents of the Select team must use our hotline at 684-4944 to determine if the fields are closed or not. You can inquire about the availability of our fields or about our fees at ExecAdmin@LakotaSports.org.
Lakota Sports Organization owns two complexes consisting of over 25 acres
We are pet friendly, just ensure to pick up any deposits before you leave.
The land now known as Walter J Long Multi Sports Complex was purchased by Lakota Sports Organization on July 23, 1996. The seller was the Walter Long family of Liberty Township. Ground breaking on the land happened on October 23, 1999. Today, Lakota Sports Organization owns over 20 acres in this park. It includes four ball fields and several soccer fields. There is also a pavilion that can be rented out as well as a children's play area. The address of the park is:
7894 Kyles Station Road
Liberty TWP, OH 45044
The land now known as Yankee Fields was used by Lakota Sports Organization for a number of years. In November, 2004, we received notice that the land was for sale and if acquired by someone who wanted us off, we would lose some of our ball fields. On May 9, 2005, Lakota Sports Organization acquired the land. This park has about six acres and is part of a larger complex of fields owned not only by Lakota Sports Organization, but also Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church and Lakota School District. The address of the park is:
7121 Dutchland Parkway
Liberty TWP, OH
45044
Team and corporate sponsorships are an important aspect for Lakota Sports Organization. These sponsorship dollars allow Lakota Sports to continue to offer affordable sport programs to the community in a safe environment. Lakota Sports Organization is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
Annually about 5,000 children participate in Lakota Sports Organizations activities. This includes children playing spring, summer, fall and winter soccer, spring and fall baseball, spring and fall softball, and fall flag football.
100% of the income generated from team sponsorships goes directly back into the sport specific budgets in an effort to keep the participation cost down. The money raised from corporate sponsorships is used for long term needs such as field maintenance and development.
For each team sponsorship, your company will receive a plaque, recognition on our website and its name on the front of a team's jerseys.
To sign up to be a team sponsor, please complete this contract Sponsor Form PDF. If you have questions, please contact our Team Sponsor Coordinator at TeamSponsor@LakotaSports.org .
